We have gathered all of the information in one huge and exciting pot! This page enables you to navigate through the information to quickly find opportunities that interest you.
- Use the drop down menus to search by geographic region, opportunity type and artform.
- You can select from one menu or all three and press search.
- If you want to search the whole directory for a specific organisation or key word then type your word into the search bar (make sure the drop down menus just read ‘all’).
Take a little time to have a play with this search facility. We think you’ll uncover some gems!
If you would prefer to view the whole picture of the UK take a look at our map or use the full lists on the right hand side to see opportunities by group.

Which Opportunities have we included in the resource?
This web resource provides information on UK based training, semi-professional and professional development opportunities for young people who are disabled, alongside information on organisations which employ disabled artists. We hope the information is useful for young people and emerging and established disabled artists.
Information on community arts provision for young people and adults who are disabled is not included in the opportunities. If you are interested in community provision, you may find the Directory on the Disability Arts Online website useful disabilityartsonline.org.uk/Directory.

Training Courses
Provides information on accredited training courses and non-accredited learning programmes offered by arts and other organisations. Also contains information on the small number of courses at FE and HE level which are accessible for young people with a wide range of disabilities.
Semi-Professional Companies
Provides information on dance, theatre, music and circus groups and companies which offer high quality training, creative and performance opportunities for young people and adults who are disabled. These companies give members the opportunity to collaborate with professional artists, perform in professional venues and develop their skills. Many of the companies are auditioned and members are unpaid. They fill a vital training gap given the current limited access to professional vocational training for talented young people who are disabled.
Organisations Which Employ Disabled Artists
Provides information on organisations which employ or contract professional artists who are disabled or offer commissions or other professional opportunities. Information on current job vacancies or specific commissions is not provided here. Please contact the organisations listed for details of any current or upcoming employment opportunities for professional or emerging artists.
Professional Development
Provides information on organisations which offer professional development opportunities for artists and performing arts students who are disabled. Information on specific opportunities is not provided – please contact the organisation direct for details of their current workshops and courses
