The Company provides opportunities for emerging dance artists to shadow workshops, which has often led to the role of assistant workshop leader and workshop leaders. A mixture of professional opportunities, paid, unpaid and a mix of both come out of it.
FRONTLINEdance is an integrated dance company whose focus is dance and disability, but which also provides opportunities and access to a range of art, media, music, drama & pottery activities for all ages and abilities. It strives to target those who would not normally have the opportunity to take part. The purpose of the group is to increase self-esteem, confidence, teamwork skills and inspiration, to raise awareness of what is possible and promote positive responses to both disability and to dance. FRONTLINEdance was founded by Rachael Lines and Michael King in September 2000, and formally became a not for profit Company Ltd by Guarantee, with no shareholders in November 2001. Teachers/workshop facilitators are professional dancers, who have experience in planning and delivering high quality dance workshops, with additional experience in choreography. The FRONTLINEdance team can devise and create new and exciting dance performances for all ages, abilities and settings. FRONTLINE also work collaboratively with guest choreographers, visual artists, photographers, musicians and filmmakers.
