Organisation Information:

Music Alive offers a range of opportunities in music for children and adults with disabilities. There are drum circles, guitar workshops, listening sessions, individual and group music making sessions using a wide variety of instruments and music technology. Potential participants attend a taster session during which they are encouraged to try everything and let us know what they're most interested in. Activities with Music Alive are tailored to the preferences, needs and abilities of the individual. Music Alive help disabled people to develop their skills and abilities through music whilst creating a stimulating and accessible environment in which all are encouraged to have fun. No previous musical knowledge, experience or training is needed. Costs are low and if funding a session is difficult, we're happy to reduce the fee so nobody is excluded on a financial basis. Non-disabled young people (friends, family and musician volunteers) are welcome to join in if they are able to support the participation of the disabled children.
