Deaf Theatre Skills
Organisation: Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
Region: Central Scotland
Welcoming: Sensory Disability
This short-course programme, delivered in partnership with the theatre company, Solar Bear, offers deaf students the opportunity to work on acting and performance skills. It aims to develop techniques and expertise in storytelling through a theatrical language that incorporates British Sign Language, spoken word and visual language. This unique training opportunity is laying the foundations for a BA Acting Degree Course for deaf people due to begin in September 2015 at the Royal Conservatoire Scotland. Places on the short-course programme are awarded through an audition process. For further information contact firstname.lastname@example.org or the Conservatoire.
The conservatoire experience is more than an education. It is total immersion in discovering who you are, whichever path you choose to follow. Royal Conservatoire of Scotland students enjoy an extraordinary blend of intensive tuition, professional partnerships, performances and the creative space to co-create across the disciplines on their journey towards realising their own individual artistic voice.
